We are excited to offer Telehealth services!
Telehealth sessions are conducted via a video-conference instead of an in-office meeting. This allows you to participate in therapy from the comfort of your own home and without the commute!
What do I need to participate in Telehealth?
All you need is a computer, tablet device, or smartphone and reliable internet! Sessions should be conducted in a private space, ideally in a room where the door shuts and locks.
Is there anything I need to do prior to the appointment?
We may request that you complete your intake appointment in person for several reasons. Please ask about this when scheduling your first appointment. You will also be asked to complete some paperwork prior to your first session. We will send you instructions on how to set-up your device to be prepared for your first telehealth session.
**Update as of March 30, 2020 (COVID-19 announcement): All intake appointments are being conducted via telehealth until further notice.
Will my insurance carrier cover telehealth sessions?
Some insurance carriers and plans cover telehealth sessions and some do not. We do our best to verify your insurance benefits prior to your sessions; however, it is ultimately up to you to know your unique plan benefits.
**Update as of March 30, 2020 (COVID-19 announcement): Many insurance providers are currently covering telehealth regardless of whether the plan previously covered this modality of therapy. Please still call your insurance provider with any questions or concerns. You may also contact your HR director at your place of employment.
Do I have to participate in telehealth sessions?
No, not at all. We are happy to help you using traditional in-person in-office therapy if this is your preference.
Are my sessions private?
Yes! Telehealth sessions are private and confidential just like in-person sessions. There may be limits to confidentiality that are unique to telehealth, such as your environment. Please talk to your clinician about any concerns you may have regarding confidentiality. We use a HIPAA compliant platform to ensure your information is protected and secure.
